>So another day, another draw at Southend with again a lead being pegged back. John Johnson rifled us in front at Roots Hall before Barry Corr gave the travelling fans that oh so familiar feeling of going home with a point. Not that it’s a bad thing to draw down there but with a club record looming should we tie tonight’s game with Burton Albion at Sixfields it really is getting to be too much!
Albion visit having slipped into the drop zone following a home defeat to Rotherham at the weekend and will also be desperate for the win. Calvin Zola, a transfer window target for the Cobblers, won’t be involved due to a hamstring injury but Scott Malone returns.
Chris Dunn will play his 100th game for the club tonight but Liam Davis misses out with an achilles problem that looks set to keep him out of Saturday’s game as well. Dean Beckwith and Josh Walker are both doubtful which could mean Paul Rodgers comes back into the thinking should Johnson need to slot in at centre back.
Apologies for the lack of updates this week…it’s been a mad one! Full service to resume from tomorrow though, and let’s hope I’m reflecting on a win and not a new club record!
