Out of contract midfielder Paul Turnbull is the latest player to be linked to the Cobblers after he rejected a one year contract extension at the relegated Hatters. Turnbull was highly regarded at Edgeley Park despite the club finishing bottom of the entire football league last season.
The 22-year-old came through the ranks at County and became the youngest ever player to play for the club in 2005. Originally trained as a striker, a broken leg halted his progress and he missed almost an entire year of football before returning in a midfield role that he’s now mastered. Scoring five goals from midfielder last season, he could be another decent addition to the centre of the Cobblers squad.
