Ipswich again in cup

The Cobblers have been drawn to play Ipswich Town away  in the First Round of the Carling Cup after the draw was made this morning. After last season’s run to the Fourth Round, it’ll be tough to match the heights that saw us beat Brighton, Reading and Liverpool en route to eventual exit at the Tractor Boys.

So we will now return to Portman Road in yet another away tie, the seventh successive cup draw that’s seen us be picked to play away! Paul Jewell took over the club in the middle of last season and steered them to safety so they should be a tough opponent once again

Ties will be played on the week commencing 8th August.
