Cobblers chairman David Cardoza will be speaking to fans on a live web chat this coming Tuesday (January 24th) on the official website. Supporters have been asked to submit questions on any topic at all so it should spark some interesting talk. A fine move by the man at the top in my opinion and hopefully the chat can be made available in print as well for those supporters without access to the site because it’s an important move that links the supporters to the club.
Meanwhile, Cardoza, in an interview with Late Kick Off East this week, said that the club has spent £7million since joining the club.
Aidy Boothroyd, meanwhile, spoke of his desire to get Northampton Town ‘off its backside’ in the Chronicle and Echo. And Paul Sturrock, the Southend manager, praised Town despite seeing his side win 5-2 at Sixfields.
League Two Transfer Window Update…
Charlie Collins has joined Aldershot Town on a one month loan deal from MK Dons. Collins spent time with Kettering Town last season but has seen his chances at Stadium:MK limited to just one appearance from the bench this season.
Former Bohemians striker Anto Flood has signed for Southend United until the end of the season.
Jo Kuffour has completed his permanent move from Bristol Rovers to Gillingham. Kuffour returned to Rovers a couple of weeks ago having been on loan with the Gills but has now signed until the end of the campaign.
Plymouth have swooped to sign ex Bristol City midfielder Joe Lennox until the end of the season. The Pilgrims have also re-signed ex captain Paul Wotton after he was released by Gary Johnson’s Yeovil Town. Wotton had previously made over 400 appearances for the club before leaving in 2008.
